This week has been hectic, and our output has been lacking. So, to make it up, we're doing a recap of the tracks that made the biggest impact on us recently.
Animal Collective :: Summertime Clothes (Dâm-Funk Remix) via RCRD LBL
This track is a breezy space-aged remix that compliments AC's twisting harmonies with soft synth counterpoints and percussive flairs.
Grum :: Sound Reaction (Original Mix)
Grum recently released the Sound Reaction EP (Heartbeats: April 27, 2009). The title track features a moneumental buildup and an inviting reprise accented with scorching synth work. You can find the rest of the release at Beatport. Be sure to check out Grum's myspace for more news.
Neon Indian :: 6669 (I Don't Know if You Know)
Neon Indian may be a bit lo-fi, but their sound is smooth like glass. With mellow harmonies and resonant soft synths, they take 6669 to new places in dreamwave.
We Plants Are Happy Plants :: Four on the Floor
We Plants Are Happy Plants recently put their 548 EP up for download at LoadAimFire, and its stocked with rich synthetic textures and fast-paced dancefloor bangers. Check out We Plants Are Happy Plants myspace for more music and news.
